House System

On becoming a member of Arbor, each child enters a ‘house’. The houses are Lark, Linnet, Deben and Orwell.

House points are awarded for achievement and recorded for every child. These house points build towards both individual merit awards and the overall collective score for each house.

The house which collects the highest number of points during the term becomes the proud holders of the ‘house cup’.

During the annual swimming gala the team spirit, camaraderie and energy levels are clear to both see and hear within the different houses! All children of all ages from reception right through to year 6 come together to work and support each other.

Sports day is another event where children are within their allocated houses. With house representatives enthused, encouraged and cheered to the finish line in every race by their other house team members –the level of support and competitiveness is clear for all to see!
