Pastoral Care
A high quality of Pastoral Care is central to our ethos. It underpins everything that we do and along with a high quality of teaching and learning it is what makes Arbor what it is.
Our Pastoral aims are:
To be a school where the well-being of all within the community is a prime concern.
To support a learning community in which children can realize their full potential.
To provide a safe and stimulating environment where everyone is able to enjoy his/her best possible health and well-being.
To provide a family environment in which pupils can feel comfortable, safe and supported.
|
To encourage our pupils to grow up to be responsible and active members of their community.
To support a curriculum which is based on a clear set of values that help provide a firm moral basis.
To deliver a clear understanding that effort, kindness and good manners will be valued.
To provide equal opportunities for all pupils regardless of ability, religion, race, culture or gender.
To develop an understanding of independence and responsibility.
To help recognise the importance of the environment.
One of the things that makes our school so special is the friendliness and genuine care which exists between the staff and the children.
We aim to equip all our pupils with the ability to be independent, to show kindness to those around them and to respect both themselves and others whilst having the confidence to go forward and flourish – wherever their futures take them.
