Year 6 – Tigers

Year 6 is a busy, demanding, yet enjoyable year for pupils as they prepare to move into their next stage of education. A key focus during the autumn term is the preparation for entrance exams. Our children go on to a wide variety of schools including Culford, Thetford Grammar, The Leys, The Perse, St Mary’s, Woodbridge School, Ipswich School and Ipswich High School.

The children continue to work within the National Curriculum and participate in various trips, designed to strengthen the understanding of subjects covered across the year. These include Duxford Imperial War Museum, Kentwell Hall Tudor Recreations, and London museums. The Residential trips include the Isle of Wight, The Eden Project, Hilltop and France.

Research based projects continue to be set, further strengthening abilities in independent learning and planning.

With the wonderful guidance and pastoral support of Mrs Anderson, our highly experienced Year 6 class teacher, pupils leave their final year with us brimming with confidence, determination and a love of learning that will help them to continue to flourish – wherever their future takes them.
